BIO

Born and raised during the Nazi Blitz on Liverpool, England in 1940, Maire E. McMahon wrote the trilogy A Child’s Christmas in Liverpool based on her experiences.

After immigrating to the USA in her early twenties, she worked as Registrar for the British Consulate while pursuing her degree at Cleveland State University. Later, she served in the US Peace Corps in Guatemala and Guyana.

A Cheese Sandwich for John Lennon is her second book. Based on actual events which she experienced first-hand, the four interlinked stories describe the author's teenage years coming of age during the emerging music scene in 1950's post-war Liverpool.

Maire is currently working on a fiction thriller which is based on a series of chilling and mysterious encounters she experienced while teaching school in a Hindu village on the coast of Guyana, South America.

She lives in Orlando, Florida with her cat, Oscar - the inspiration for Maire's publishing entity, Oscar Enterprises, Ltd!
